About Us

Stephen is a senior professional services manager and educator with extensive experience in complex professional services organisations within the legal and health care environments.

His career in health included clinical practice and senior managerial roles with a regional health service, health insurer and international hospital operator.

As General Manager/CEO in National and NSW law firms he has been responsible for operational management and board reporting of finance, risk management, human resources, IT and marketing as well as project managing facility upgrades, relocations etc.

Stephen brings experience and a track record of resolving issues, managing teams, developing systems, maximising resources and implementing change in Human Resources, Operations, Premises, Finance, Business, Development and Information Technology.

Workplace training and development clients have included NSW Department of Health, Toll, QBE Insurance, Beirut Hellenic Bank, Metcash, NSW Police, Fair Trading NSW, Work Cover. The College of Law and Law Society of NSW.

In addition to his first qualification in nursing Stephen has a Bachelor of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration as well as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Major training and educational assignments included working with Health NSW on the creation and delivery of a state-wide training module in financial management to over 1600 managers via 30 seminars and the delivery of lectures and professional development sessions at the University of Shanghai Business School – a joint venture with UTS Insearch

Since 2005 he has provided advice and assistance via his practice management consultancy, providing a range of services to small and medium firms. He is also the executive officer of the legal quality organisation - QL Inc (www.ql.org.au).

Stephen’s approach is not to just provide you with a solution – he is passionate about working with you to make results happen.

He is active in master’s level rowing competing locally and in the UK and also sings with the Philharmonia Choir in Sydney.

Stephen Burke is a business manager with vast experience managing issues, teams and resources - making things happen - in complex services environments.

He has a wide knowledge of and project skills across Human Resources, Operations, Premises, Finance, Business Development and Information Technology.
